The latest enhancements highlight ASRock Rack's ongoing dedication to providing advanced efficiency, reliable performance, and long-term value for edge and cloud customers.
The AMD EPYC™ 8005 Server CPU brings the benefits of the highly efficient "Zen 5" architecture to markets that seek strong performance but also have significant requirements for power- and space-constrained environments. Operating within a thermal design power (TDP) between 70W and 225W, the CPU provides a right-sized, single-socket deployment that scales from 8 to 84 cores.

Existing ASRock Rack customers using SP6 socket platforms can apply the latest BIOS update to take advantage of the enhanced performance and power efficiency offered by the new AMD EPYC™ 8005 processors. In addition to BIOS updates for existing platforms, ASRock Rack is also introducing the new SORANOD8-2L2T motherboard, designed to unlock the capabilities of the AMD EPYC™ 8005 Server CPU for edge and cloud storage deployments. The board features 8 DIMM slots, 5 PCIe 5.0 expansion slots, and 2 MCIO connectors supporting up to 16 SATA ports for flexible storage expansion.
